Here, n = 12
∴ Mean (x̄) = Ʃ xi/n
= (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12)/12
= 78/12 = 6.5
Hence, the mean of the first twelve natural numbers is 6.5
